One Punch Man Genos Funny Comics
Fans love the variety of interesting characters One-Punch Man has, but Genos stands out as a fan favorite. Genos has a tragic backstory, as a cyborg destroyed his hometown and family. Despite the adversity he faces early on in his life, he perseveres, determined to become stronger under the tutelage of Saitama.
Genos shines at different points throughout the anime, showing how humorous he can be while trying to keep a serious composure. Although Genos doesn't possess the greatest strength and speed compared to the rest of the characters, multiple scenes prove he is one of the best characters to watch.
10 Genos Risks His Life Against Centichoro
One thing Genos doesn't show is fear — as shown in his fight against Centichoro. Without considering forming a plan with Silver Fang and Bomb, Genos tries taking down Centichoro by himself because he always follows his heart. Despite Centichoro slicing him in half, Genos doesn't give up and explodes Centichoro's body. Centichoro easily regenerates after the explosion while Genos lies powerless on the ground. This isn't only a testament to Genos' drive to win but also his willingness to put everything on the line for the sake of saving other people.
9 Genos Overanalyzes Saitama's Hero Registry Exam Result
Saitama shows Genos that he receives the rank of class C. However, when Genos looks at the upper half of the letter C on Saitama's report, he assumes that it is the letter S. Although recognizing the letter on Saitama's report requires little effort, Genos overthinks every small detail.
This scene gives fans a glimpse of how humorous Genos can be despite his serious and intimidating presence. Saitama thinks this trait of Genos' is annoying, but fans love the character Genos brings to One-Punch Man.
8 Genos Receives Love From The Public For His Looks Instead Of His Heroic Feats
Genos receives loads of letters from his fans compared to Saitama. But instead of receiving praise for his heroic duties as an S-Class hero, a lot of his letters and the comments Genos receives mainly focus on how attractive he is. The fact Genos ignores these comments and doesn't allow his fans to flatter him — choosing to remain focused on pursuing his goals — further cements his legacy as an extremely determined character. Nothing will obstruct his path to attain power on par with his master, Saitama.
7 Genos Takes Note Of Everything Saitama Does
It's normal to admire someone for their skills, but Genos looks up to Saitama to the point where he writes down every single detail of Saitama's lifestyle to become as strong as him. From how far back Saitama leans while reading manga to the way he flips pages, Genos analyzes everything. Diagrams of Saitama's movements as well as paragraphs of writing to explain Saitama's lifestyle fill up every page of his notebook. The juxtaposition between how laidback Saitama is and how obsessive Genos is added to the fun of the show.
6 Genos Learns How To Adapt To Faster Characters
After failing to react to Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, Genos strives to level up his abilities to keep up with faster characters. Genos shows how he adapts in his fight with Awakened Cockroach. He never wants to reveal his weaknesses, but Awakened Cockroach forces Genos to admit that he is slower.
From his boots, Genos leaks an adhesive substance, which immobilizes Awakened Cockroach. Even though Awakened Cockroach manages to escape, this displays Genos's intelligence as a fighter.
5 Genos Explains His Deep Backstory
Most heroes in the show don't share how they became so powerful or what motivated them to become a hero. Nevertheless, Genos goes on a rant about how he became a cyborg and shares why he wants to become a great hero. Although Saitama couldn't care less about Genos' backstory, this scene gives viewers more depth into Genos' character compared to the rest of the cast. Genos initially appears as a naturally gifted character who receives more attention from the public than Saitama, but in actuality, Genos is an underdog with a devastating backstory.
4 Genos Does Everything He Can To Live With Saitama
Saitama initially rejects Genos's request to move into his home, but he eventually succumbs to Genos's constant begging. Genos forces Saitama to take him in as his disciple and follows any order Saitama gives. His loyalty to Saitama goes to extremes no other character can match, as he prioritizes Saitama's needs before his own. For instance, Genos demands a store clerk to give the deal Saitama wanted even though he has no obligation to do so. Fans of One-Punch Man can't get enough of Genos's unintentional humor.
3 Genos Pushes Himself Further Than Anyone Else Against The Deep Sea King
The Deep Sea King brutally wounds several heroes, but Genos leaves the fight with the most severe injuries. The Deep Sea King spits out acid toward a child, and Genos has no choice but to protect the child. This ultimately leaves Genos obliterated, as the acid consumes his arms and most of his upper body. With a lifeless expression on his face, Genos takes another huge hit from the Deep Sea King. While other characters such as Mumen Rider come to the scene and fight the monster, none of them have the will to risk their lives to the same extent as Genos.
2 Genos Never Holds Back In Fights
Unlike Saitama, Genos enters fight scenes using his full strength. Whether he fights Saitama or a threat to human civilization, Genos always uses all his might whenever he engages in battle. He never holds back because he doesn't underestimate his opponents.
In other words, Genos never lets his guard down. No matter the threat level, Genos deals with every monster not only without fear but also with utmost seriousness. For this reason, the Hero Association can depend on Genos to take on any monster they assign him.
1 Genos Claims He Can Draw Saitama's Face In 20 Seconds
Saitama accidentally hits Genos so hard that Genos loses his memory. Consequently, Genos forgets his whole obsession with attaining strength on par with Saitama. After asking Saitama why he is staying in Saitama's home, Saitama tells Genos that he is his disciple, to which Genos freaks out. Genos argues that he would never want to become the disciple of someone whose face he can draw in 20 seconds. From praising Saitama to suddenly insulting his face, Genos completely changes his behavior, making viewers crack up.
